Every year I contribute to the non-profit hospice house, Cornerstone, where Bill passed the evening of Dec. 27, 2012,
Jeff, Steve and Bill were with him, Rebby and I had come back here for some shuteye.
Cornerstone has added a building and tripled the beds available to give relief from pain and anxiety in our final hours. Thank you all for flying here and embracing your father in his.

This holiday season your Marine Corps brothers continued your passion for including books in the annual "Toys for Tots" distributions. I remember the hours you spent at Barnes & Nobles persuading shoppers to donate for expanding children's minds along with delighting them with toys. Your good deeds continue to flourish.

Each year since Bill's passing on Dec.27, I have endeavored to do something or go somewhere that he particularly liked. This year, on the verge of age 80, my boundaries are closer to home than when he and I, in our 60's roamed the state. So it is that my remembrance outing today will be to have Mac 'n Cheese at his favorite restaurant. - FL Joan
